Outside...Wallowas

At Salt Creek Summit, the highest snow-park in Oregon. No wind and 15 inches of new snow, 18 degrees, Outside Perfection. We camped and back country skied for three days. The adventure continued to Spout Springs, CO to recon snow kiting off the sleds.

A day in Death....

Erik, we had a great time at DV and are gonna do it again next year. You should think about it, the campsite we stayed at even had a free (donation) thanksgiving dinner. Some good dirt riding, drove out to Ballarat Ghost town, then rode the bike out to the ranch where they caught Charlie Manson. The van worked fantastic and we marveled at how quiet it was when driving down the highway, no rattles or squeaks. Tell the guys they do great work.

It was 24 miles of dirt one way to the Manson Ranch up and down the canyon wash.

Dirt Bike in BC

In July 2007, our BC mission took us 80 kilometers North East of Whistler. Dirt biking 13 km up a dirt road at a place I can't say or my Canadian dirt bike friends will kill me. Never seen another dirt biker there, especially 'Mericans. Just bears. One time it rained heavy all night long and my super macho Canadian friends with their big ass Dodge trucks thought they would need to tow me out. And the Mercedes traction control proved them wrong, once again.

Spring 2006, North Cal Surf Mish

In March we went on a Surf trip with splash of dual sport moto, kiteboarding and spa fun for the misses. I'd like to refer to this as the "too much damn winter milk run". Every year in March it seems like the skis and the sleds no longer put a twinkle in the eye and spring cracks in California. One year as early as late February... or maybe it was just a big clock of high pressure. But California always delivers, year after year. Parts of Cal are as remote as anywhere in Montana or Idaho. And you can still find solo surf braes and raging surfing wind on the lost coast. When you cook your own meals and get over 20 miles to the gallon, you can get lost outside for a long time for less than $1000.-
