Finally, after a whole winter getting the clutching and weight dialed on the sleds it's time for Coors and Corn.

Always learning new ways around the engine, 

we had clutches and timing switched out on the mountain.

Adams Spring Corn Bash part 2

We never found the spring bikini Coors Light pool side bash, but did manage to lace the "westside" top to bottom with surf like off the lips and use a sled in totally new ways. Minus some minor engine overheating the day was perfect. Notice in the pic's the T-shirt and shorts, this is a time of year that the sun feels so sacred that the appreciation runs through the body and soul right to the throttle  . . .   BBBbbbbbrrrrrraaaaappppppppp 

Oh ya, if you are looking into a trailer (see pic) consider the    sidewall of it making sure the aluminum has no hang ups and is bomber so that when you slam it into the guard rail of the bridge it slides.

Adams Spring Corn Bash part 1

Spring corn allows for perfect conditions to go where we have not been all year. Topping out at 9810 feet, this was going to be last day of the year but it left us all wanting more. So back again we go to try a zone we saw on the way out that we didn't have enough gas to explore. T-shirts, sunblock, it feels like you are in a Coors Light commercial and we are waiting to cross the next ridge to see a big beach party in effect. Winter holding strong

Although the light was flat for alot of this afternoon the snow was ideal for sledding. The storm came in warm and put down about 8" of Northwest paste and then as the clouds started to lift and it got colder and the last 5" that fell 

were blower. Two guys not seeing another person on the mountain, it felt like another planet. Thus the purchase of a new EPERB ( Electronic Positioning Emergency Radio Beacon ). But really Adams sucks don't go. 

Craigs Hut at Mt Hood

No stress no hurry just taking it all in and really getting to see all the different sides of Hood. After riding casually for about 2 hours we got to the Hut and basked in the sun at this old and perfectly placed Hut. Looking at the structure itself that has lasted since the early 1900's the placement of the decking and 360 windows with closing weather battens. I dont know why this is not a blue print for the rest of the Northwest. Lunch, Sun, Friends, Gas, Van, Repeat.
